Ann-Charlott Lehmann is a secondary school teacher and co-form teacher of class 9b, teaching German and Biology. She studied for her teaching degree for Sekundarstufe I and II at the University of Potsdam and has recently completed her teacher training. She is joining the German School Jakarta as a new member of the team.

Frau Lehmann chose teaching because no two days are ever the same and the profession offers constant opportunities to keep learning. What she values most are the relationships she builds with students, discovering new things together and seeing them feel proud of their academic and personal achievements. At DSJ, she looks forward to learning from the school’s diversity, including its tropical biodiversity, which is new territory for her.



Outside school, she enjoys road cycling, travelling and discovering good coffee, with a particular fondness for flat whites. Her favourite quote is “Sapere aude”, meaning “Dare to know.” Her secret talent is planning trips for family and friends, complete with carefully curated routes and coffee stops.
