Empowering Parental Engagement

We are more than an institution, we are a big family. At the German School Jakarta, we believe in and foster the transformative power of a thriving school community, where parents play an important active role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive environment for exceptional education. Together, we champion the shared mission of advancing our school.

Collaboration & Compliance

The parent representatives facilitate the partnership between the community and the school. Elected annually, the Parent Representation bridges parents, teachers, and administration, fostering open communication and seamless collaboration, while adhering to our regulations and ensuring that initiatives align with our school's objectives and values.

Role of Parent Representatives

Parent representatives are more than just volunteers, they are catalysts for change and ambassadors of unity and trust. Whether it's organizing events, supporting projects, or being a point of contact for fellow parents, their commitment to our school community remains a priority.

Your Voice Matters

Your input as parents is invaluable and shapes the direction of our school, thus we encourage you to actively participate and voice your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback. Together, we aspire to provide an educational experience that not only enriches the lives of our students, but also reflects our community at its core.

Representatives Election

The Parent Representation (EV, Elternvertretung) gets elected once a year and comprises two class representatives from each class, which in turn elects the Board of Parent Representation (EVV, Elternvertretung Vorstand) that collaborates with the School Management on all important matters.

My name is Natasha Dewi, and I'm an alumna of DSJ myself, currently working in the fitness industry. As a mother of a child in Grade 3, I actively seek involvement in school activities. Joining the Parent Representation Board (EVV) enables me to work closely with the school management team, fostering an effective partnership between home and school. Through my role in EVV, I aim to provide valuable input by advising the school management team on parents' perspectives regarding policy issues and incidents. This collaborative approach ensures a thorough review of school policies and helps find optimal solutions, providing parents with the necessary support from the school management team.
