The event took place at our beautiful Deutsche Schule Jakarta campus in BSD City, providing the perfect venue for the children to enjoy plenty of games and activities and experience a vacation outside their crowded living environment.

The ISCO Foundation and Deutsche Schule Jakarta have agreed to established a long-term partnership to promote education and child welfare. The collaboration aims to create opportunities for both ISCO and DSJ children, fostering friendship and learning between them. The partnership emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating diverse backgrounds, working towards a brighter and inclusive future.

During the event, children from ISCO and the German School engaged in traditional games, sports, and exciting activities. Volunteers organized booths where kids decorated donuts, cooked churros, and enjoyed an inflatable climbing castle. The Borussia Football Academy put together a Mini World Cup where kids from Isco and DSJ played together in teams of seven. The celebration fostered an environment of inclusivity and equality, as children from very different backgrounds played and interacted together.

The event was attended by the German Ambassador, the 2022 Miss Indonesia, and a Gold Medalist of the Asian Games. H.E. Ina Lepel, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, commended academically accomplished students and encouraged all ISCO children to pursue their education and dreams. A literacy festival was organized in collaboration with Lulu Zaharani Krisna, Runner Up Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata, who emphasized the importance of reading and education. The children shared stories and were encouraged to develop a love for reading and learning.

Jonatan Christie, a national badminton athlete also known as Jojo, joined the children in playing badminton and supported their educational needs for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity allowed the ISCO children to showcase their talents and consider pursuing a career in badminton.

We at DSJ and everybody at the ISCO Foundation wish all Indonesian children a Happy Children's Day and encourage them to "Dare To Dream"
