DSJ Theatre Production – Rahasia Rania
Published:
With two successful performances of Rahasia Rania, our Grade 8a and 8b students demonstrated how creativity and independent learning come together in Indonesian language class.

The first performance took place on Friday as a school presentation for students from Grade 5 onwards and teachers. On Saturday, the production was presented to families, friends, and guests during a public performance in the DSJ auditorium, where it was met with enthusiastic applause.
What made Rahasia Rania particularly special was that the entire project was developed as part of the Indonesian language curriculum. From adapting the original short story and writing the script to staging and performing the play, every step was carried out by the students themselves. The project combined language learning with creativity, teamwork, and confidence on stage.
As the play was performed entirely in Indonesian, German-language scene summaries were provided to help non-Indonesian-speaking guests follow the story.
A special thank you goes to Novy Permata, who guided the project with great dedication and supported the students throughout the entire creative and rehearsal process.
Congratulations to all students involved on two wonderful performances and a theatre project that beautifully demonstrated how learning comes alive through creativity, collaboration, and initiative.
