Chotimah, called Ms. Ade, is a Preschool Teacher at the Deutsche Schule Jakarta, teaching Bahasa Indonesia. She studied at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI and previously worked at PSB Singapore School (2006–2009) and Stamford School Bandung (2009–2010), before joining DSJ in 2011.

She became a teacher because interacting with energetic and curious children keeps her feeling young and brings a lot of joy. The best part of her job is learning new things every day and practicing patience. What she values most about DSJ are the excellent facilities and the spacious playground for the children.

Her pedagogical motto is: “Learn together and succeed together.” Outside the classroom, Ms. Ade enjoys cooking and engaging in arts and crafts. Her special talent is baking. Her favorite quote is: “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” She adds: “We create happiness.”
