Since 2016, Ms. Ashri has been a valued member of the Elementary School team, where she teaches English, Science, and ICT. After completing her studies at the University of Queensland, she discovered her passion for teaching – driven by a deep interest in child development and in how school and home can work together to support a child’s growth and learning.

What Ms. Ashri enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on her students, both academically and personally. She particularly values the creative freedom that DSJ provides in lesson planning, as it allows her to support each child individually and to nurture their natural curiosity. Her educational motto is: “Learn with curiosity, grow with purpose, teach with passion.” It reflects her belief that education is a lifelong journey inspired by enthusiasm, purpose, and an open mind.

In her free time, Ms. Ashri loves cooking and exploring recipes from different cultures. She also has a hidden talent – she can crochet a little. Her favorite quote, “Happiness depends upon ourselves,” expresses her positive and life-affirming outlook. With her dedication, empathy, and enthusiasm, Ms. Ashri helps make DSJ a place of discovery, learning, and growth.
