Frau Grünbauer is a primary school teacher who teaches German, English and Physical Education. She studied at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg, where she specialised in special education. She has been working as a teacher since the 2020/21 school year and will join the team of the German School Jakarta in the 2025/26 school year.

She became a teacher because she enjoys inspiring children and helping them discover the joy of learning. What she loves most about her profession is seeing a child understand something new and feel proud of themselves – and the moments of laughter shared in the classroom. Her educational motto is: “With head, heart and hand – learning for life.” What she appreciates most about DSJ is its warm community, international spirit and the opportunity to approach learning in a holistic way.

In her free time, Frau Grünbauer enjoys sports such as jogging, swimming, beach volleyball and spikeball. She also loves cooking, baking, reading, crafting, exploring nature and spending time with family and friends. Her favourite quote is: “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” And her secret talent? She doesn’t drink coffee but is still quick, awake and cheerful in the mornings.

Frau Grünbauer is looking forward to experiencing and learning a lot together with the children at the German School Jakarta.
