Lena Bohn is a teacher at the German School Jakarta, where she teaches English and Art. She studied at Leuphana University Lüneburg and University of Duisburg-Essen. She has been teaching since 2012 and joined the DSJ team in 2025.

Frau Bohn became a teacher because she wanted to support young people on their journey – and because she truly loves her subjects. What she enjoys most about her profession is that every day is different and full of inspiring encounters. Her educational motto is: Courage is more important than perfection.

In her free time, Frau Bohn enjoys reading, playing tennis, and travelling. Her favourite quote, by Albert Schweitzer, is: “Happiness is the only thing that doubles when you share it.”
Her secret talent? She can look strict and laugh inside at the same time.
