Ulrich Ogon has been teaching at the German School Jakarta since 2002, working as a primary school teacher and learning support teacher. His teaching covers a wide range of subjects, including German, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, Swimming, and Learning Support. He completed his studies in Special Education and Primary Education at the University of Dortmund and has been teaching since 1996.
Herr Ogon became a teacher because he enjoys working creatively and in diverse ways with children. For him, the most rewarding part of his job is witnessing his students’ learning progress and personal development every day. The German School Jakarta is, for him, a truly enriching environment. The school’s multicultural community enhances not only classroom learning but also everyday interactions, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere. “Learning with fun and diligence” – this is Herr Ogon’s teaching motto.
He believes that learning should always be a joyful and engaging experience, balanced with effort and perseverance. In his free time, Herr Ogon enjoys sports, photography, computers, and reading. His diverse interests are also reflected in his teaching style, which is creative, dynamic, and hands-on. His favorite quote is: “There is nothing good unless you do it.” Ulrich Ogon is a dedicated and creative teacher who accompanies his students with enthusiasm and passion, inspiring them to stay curious and motivated on their individual learning journeys.
