Welcoming Our New First Graders!

On September 1st, 23 excited first graders celebrated their Einschulung at Deutsche Schule Jakarta!

The celebration was filled with music, dancing, and warm welcomes before the children discovered a beloved German tradition: the Schultüte, a colourful school cone filled with surprises and school supplies. Dating back to the early 19th century, the tradition is meant to sweeten the start of a child's school journey.


After group photos and a first classroom visit, the new students had plenty to celebrate. When asked about their day, Hanafi summed it up perfectly: “GOOD GOOD GOOD!” 💛
