The Preschool & Primary community came together on Friday, 3 July 2026, to celebrate the end of the 2025–2026 school year with an amazing Year End Celebration.

From Goldilocks to Graduation

The program opened with a performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, presented by students from across the Preschool. Through acting, songs, and dance, the children brought the familiar story to life while confidently taking to the stage in front of family and friends.

The performance was followed by a special presentation from a group of DSJ mothers, who performed the traditional Minangkabau
Tari Piring (Plate Dance). Their performance added a wonderful cultural highlight to the celebration before the event concluded with the Senior Preschool Graduation.

Senior Preschool Graduation

The Senior Preschool celebration concluded with a festive Graduation, marking an important milestone for our oldest Preschool students as they prepare to begin Primary School after the holidays. Receiving their graduation certificates was a proud moment for both the children and their families and a fitting way to celebrate the end of their Preschool journey.

We congratulate all of our Senior Preschool graduates and wish all students and families a relaxing holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2026–2027 school year.

From Malin Agak Lain to Grade 6 Graduation

The Primary Year End Celebration continued with Malin Agak Lain, a theatrical adaptation inspired by the well-known Indonesian folktale of Malin Kundang. Brought to life by students from across the Primary School, the performance combined theatre, music, traditional dances, and colourful costumes to take the audience on a beautiful journey across the Indonesian archipelago.

As Malin travelled from island to island, each class represented a different region of Indonesia, celebrating the country's rich cultural diversity. The journey eventually led him back to his home village in Minangkabau, where he sought forgiveness and hoped to reverse the fate of his mother, whom he had turned to stone through his own actions.

Grade 6 Graduation

Following the performance, the celebration concluded with the Grade 6 Graduation. As they received their graduation certificates, our students celebrated the successful completion of their Primary School years and looked ahead to the exciting opportunities awaiting them in secondary school.

We congratulate all of our Grade 6 graduates and wish them every success as they begin the next stage of their educational journey.
