Deutsche Schule Jakarta (DSJ) entered a partnership with Borussia Academy from Bundesliga Club Borussia Mönchengladbach, to bring German Football expertise to our school and greater Jakarta.

Starting with a Football Camp from 2 to 4 December 2022 at the school's BSD campus, professional trainers from Germany and Indonesia coached over 40 children —  including ten children from the ISCO Foundation — to discover their love for "the beautiful game", improve their football skills and most importantly have lots of fun!

"On Friday, we started with the training at 2:30 pm. At first, we got our white Borussia shirts. We were divided into three groups according to age and started to do warm up exercises. During the hydration breaks throughout the weekend, we were able to refresh ourselves with fresh fruits. At the end of the first camp day we played a tournament, which was a lot of fun.

On the second day we already started at 8:00 am. On this day, the focus was on dueling and the correct use of tricks. Here I was able to learn some new moves. It was especially nice for me to win duels against older camp participants using those tricks. At the end of the day, we were able to show what we had learned in yet another tournament. Me and many friends finished the day cooling down in the pool. Splash!

On Sunday we kicked off again with some exercises followed by a tournament. Due to the high temperatures, we needed many drinking breaks. At 11:30 am the soccer part of the camp ended. For lunch we had pizza, gorengan and other yummy foods. After we had strengthened ourselves, we all received our camp certificates, followed by the official announcement of the partnership between the German School Jakarta and Borussia Academy.

It was a great camp and I can't wait for the Academy to kick off in January!"
