The DSJ community was buzzing with anticipation as the reigning European FIFA U17 champions, the German National Football team, made a grand entrance into our school's auditorium.

A large group of people are posing for a picture in a park.

Arriving at 2pm as planned, the team descended one by one into our crowded auditorium amidst thunderous applause, setting the stage for an electrifying event. Esteemed guests, including Mr. Pilar Ichsan Saga, Head of PSSI ASPROV Banten and acting Deputy Mayor of Tangerang Selatan, alongside multiple media outlets, added to the excitement of the spectacle.

The event commenced with a lively Q&A talk. Moderator Herr Curdts and three DSJ students sat alongside five players on stage, presenting their questions. From inquiries about managing schoolwork during a world championship to training and playing in tropical conditions, the dialogue was as insightful as it was engaging.

A standout moment was when Claudia Scheunemann, our very own Indonesian National U19 Women’s Player at the youthful age of 14 inquired about the interaction of women's players with their male counterparts in Germany, directing her question to Eric Da Silva Moreira. Afterwards the entire U17 team joined DSJ students center stage, singing together a spirited version of "Ein Hoch Auf Uns”, a popular German song.

The team then moved from the Aula to the football field for live action with our Fußball AG and Borussia Academy. Initially though, the community preferred to taking photos and collecting autographs with our visitors visibly enjoying the attention. After approximately 20 minutes of fan frenzy, finally U17 and DSJ players mingled, showcasing some dazzling football tricks and moves.

After an action-packed 1 hour and 15 minutes, it was time for our guests to head to their Central Jakarta hotel, preparing for their anticipated clash against Venezuela at the grand Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday, November 18th.

Amidst waves and cheers, their bus departed from our campus, marking the end of an incredible event that left everyone excited and in World Cup mood. As the German team gears up for their next games, our DSJ community pledges unwavering support.

In a spectacular Saturday game, the team triumphed again with a dominant 3-0 victory, showcasing their prowess on the field. Their sights are now set on the upcoming match against the USA on Tuesday at 3:30 in Bandung, which DSJ hopefully will stream live in the school's Aula (stay tuned for more information!).

The enthusiasm continues as DSJ remains a proud supporter, cheering our team on every step of the way.
Good luck boys!
