DSJ teacher guest speaker at Binawan University
Go Global! 200 Indonesian students who will go to Germany for an internship in the city of Bremen from October until December this year, were attentively listening to our Deutsche Schule Jakarta teacher Frau Nissen as a guest speaker at Binawan University on 20th September 2022.
On the agenda: German habits, customs, traditions, diversity, things to anticipate at the future workplace and many other important things to know about the country. Frau Nissen has gained a lot of experience working with interns throughout her career. She was very engaged in this field at her prior school in Hamburg and is also the responsible teacher at DSJ for university interns from Germany coming to Indonesia. Following her presentation, the students had the opportunity to ask many questions, as “Will a German get mad if I don’t like to drink beer?” Answer: “Yes, definitely!” (joke!) They furthermore got involved in role plays, trained their communication skills and are now more confident to go abroad and work in Germany! For more information in Indonesian click here...
